Oh my god. I seriously spent way too long on YouTube the other late night, searching desperately for this short, 7 second clip of video. It’s basically exactly how I feel about Christmas this year…but apparently I didn’t know the right keywords to find it. I guess “Santa” and “Growl” weren’t enough.

You all know how much I love TV on DVD, right? Well, if I never own another boxed set of anything, then I can feel like my collection is complete. For Christmas, and probably my best Christmas present this year, my mom got me the entire series of I Love Lucy. And if you know anything about me, then you know that I LOVE Lucy. 194 episodes, special features, radio shows, unaired episodes…I’ve got the whole shebang. YES!!!

“Sleigh Ride” by The Roches
This Christmas album is a classic, to my family at least. We’d open presents at home on Christmas morning, then load the car and make the 2 hour drive to my grandma’s house. I loved that drive, even though I normally dreaded it. On Christmas we listened to all the best albums, my parents usually let Caitlin and I pick our favorites. For some reason this was always one of them.

I had four very different Christmas celebrations this year, it would have been five if the weather would have let us travel over the mountain. I love family; I love that the holidays brings everyone together and makes (most) people happy. I rushed around from merry home to merry home, and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I am truly thankful for my family, and am just glad we all still see each other so regularly. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your days were as special as mine.
