“Seafishing” a collaboration between Jessica Kucinskas, Mary Costa and myself.
Starring Christopher Guetig and Caitlin Randolph. With special thanks to Rob Balchunas, Adina Sullivan, Melissa Aquino, Hannah Elder, Hillary Gurtler, Sam Molleur, Jen Troy, Nikki Sills, and TIWWI.
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of collaborating with two fellow artists on a project. Jessica Kucinskas and Mary Costa are apart of TIWWI (said Tee-Wee), an artist co-op or collective of young creatives who work with one another on everything from photos to short films and beyond.
With the help of many other talented and awesome people, we spent a weekend creating a stop-animation flip book called “Seafishing,” starring Christopher Guetig and Caitlin Randolph. The picture above is one still from the story, which can be viewed here.
I’ve dabbled in stop-animation before, but this production was way bigger than anything I could have accomplished by myself. I couldn’t be more pleased with our team, and hope to work with this group of people again. I can’t believe how well we all came together to create this!
Hey, you guys! (Photo by Lauren Randolph)
This is just a light test, but I finally built a new website, so if you’d like to see a couple new images head on over WWW.PHOTOLAUREN.COM! I’m still learning, and tinkering around with layout and links and all of it - but I plan on keeping my site more up-to-date with new works and goodness. So exciting for me! Finally getting my HTML on!
Also, if you’re going to be in Reno this weekend then come find me at the NadaDada Motel. I’ll have prints for sale, some new pictures to show, a mini photostudio set up, ANNNND you can get the first chance to look through my book…which I’ll be releasing next week.
Soooo, yeah. www.photolauren.com!
