photography in the third dimension!
Here we see the lovely Lauren Randolph on one of her few days on playa this year, jumping. All of these images were made with a Nishika N8000 camera, that I found at a thrift store last summer.
Click the image to see all of the animations I have compiled thus far!

Audrey makes awesome things. You have to click the picture to see the rest of these 3d gifs.

I finally added a gallery on my website dedicated to my ongoing Jumpology series. I’ve got a few more to pull from the archives, but head over and check out a selection of my very favorite jump photos collected over the years.

I had been to Slab City before, but left too quickly to be able to make a stop at Salvation Mountain. This time we made a point to check it out and walk around. What a perfect first stop for the LARV to make on our roadtrip! There’s definitely no place like it - art, mixed with spirituality, mixed with something weird, plus awesome, and in the desert. Loved it!
So here I made Michael jump.

I just returned from a week long road trip from Los Angeles, CA to Marfa, TX for this year’s Phoot Camp, an annual creative retreat for photographers. 12 of us piled into an RV and drove through the desert to Marfa, where we met up with 35 creatives and photographers from all over the world.
Follow the Phoot Tumblr to see everyone’s work. I’ve got bags to unpack, cowboy boots to dust off, film to develop, and loads of pictures to share - so hang tight.

I’m pretty sure this is the biggest my sister’s head as ever been, and she seems pretty happy about that. This work (by Ryan Schude) is on display through the end of the month at the Caporale/Bleicher Gallery.
