Shot this after a collaboration I made with Ryan Schude last month, which I’ll be showing tonight at the Slidelock Potshow in Los Angeles. Make sure to RSVP on Facebook to get your name on the guest list, it. You really don’t want to miss this, but if you do you’ll have another chance to see some new work at the All Visual LA/California Love show on Monday. Busy awesome weekend!

I finally added a gallery on my website dedicated to my ongoing Jumpology series. I’ve got a few more to pull from the archives, but head over and check out a selection of my very favorite jump photos collected over the years.

adamrobinson3:

This past week, I had the privilege of hanging out with  Lauren Randolph (www.photolauren.com). I had an amazing week, learned some new photo techniques and some equipment upgrades. Even spent a full day of shooting with her in various outfits and locations, she even took some direction from me in a photo!

Since she’s basically coined “jumpology”, I figured it was only right to have her jump for me. Here are 2 images I couldn’t decide between. Enjoy.

And a BIG THANK YOU, to Ms. Lauren Randolph!

And a big thank you right back, Mr. Robinson. Thanks for showing me around Bristol, and for your excellent modeling skills. Looking forward to sharing the photos!

Are you there, Dad? Because sometimes I think you never aged past 13. You love video games, playing in the snow, making your famous stuffed animal bikes, and trying to take the “coolest jump picture ever.” You made my lunch every day before school and always remembered to draw a colorful picture on the bag, too. Don’t worry, though. Even with two grown daughters, you’re more youthful than ever. So let’s never stop having fun.

I would love to know who took this amazing jump photo of Lucille Ball. Internet, help me out. Is it one of Halsman’s?
I love this amazing picture of Lucille Ball, taken by Philippe Halsman in 1962. Thanks, Internet.

I had been to Slab City before, but left too quickly to be able to make a stop at Salvation Mountain. This time we made a point to check it out and walk around. What a perfect first stop for the LARV to make on our roadtrip! There’s definitely no place like it - art, mixed with spirituality, mixed with something weird, plus awesome, and in the desert. Loved it!
So here I made Michael jump.

I just returned from a week long road trip from Los Angeles, CA to Marfa, TX for this year’s Phoot Camp, an annual creative retreat for photographers. 12 of us piled into an RV and drove through the desert to Marfa, where we met up with 35 creatives and photographers from all over the world.

I’m pretty sure this is the biggest my sister’s head as ever been, and she seems pretty happy about that. This work (by Ryan Schude) is on display through the end of the month at the Caporale/Bleicher Gallery.
