I’ve lived here for 3 years, and I finally hiked up to check out the view from behind the Hollywood sign. This is another one of the images I shot for Sony’s Unedited project, which can be seen in the Century City store next week.
I keep dancing on my own.

If you missed the others from our collaboration, they can be seen HERE and HERE and HERE!
This is another sneak peek of the photos I shot with Sony’s NEX-5R last week, for a total of 50 photos representing my city. The rest will be on display in the Century City store at the end of the month.
One of my favorite things about Los Angeles are all the good old diners. Maybe it’s the Reno girl still inside me, but I love a great greasy spoon - for breakfast, lunch, or a late night after-hours trip.
This is another photo I shot for Sony’s “Unedited” project, using their NEX-5R. Straight out of camera. :)
I’ll give you a high-five if you can guess where this is…
It’s always a pleasure working with Whitney from Myrtle, a great boutique shop in Echo Park, Los Angeles. For this Spring lookbook I wanted to challenge myself, and have some fun shooting with only the Lensbaby “Spark” lens. Great group of ladies made for a great day in the park!
You can see more of the photos on the store’s Tumblr page, or I’ve put a selection up on my own website.
Last week I went out shooting with the Sony NEX-5R to capture an “Unedited” view of Los Angeles. With only 50 shots, I needed to make each one count - but I had a blast touring all of my very favorite parts of this city. Stay tuned for more, and details on when you can go see them up live in a local Sony Store.
Another image from my collaboration with Lauren Randolph!
Stay tuned for the final image with comedian Patrick Babbitt.
Check out my new photo collaboration with Lauren Randolph featuring comedian Patrick Babbitt and musician Callin Passero. Stay tuned to see more of the images over the next couple of days! And someone please make this into a buddy comedy.

What is The Forge, you ask?
Help us reach our goal by checking out our IndieGoGo page. You’re the best!
This creative space has become my second home in this big city. They have 10 more days left to raise the funds they need to complete this project! Watch the video (can you spot me doing my thang?) and visit the IndieGoGo page to find out more.
On Sunday I had the great pleasure of attending the 55th Annual Grammy Music Awards as a guest with MasterCard. I’ve always been the biggest music fan, and made a point of watching the Grammys every year growing up. I’m pretty sure the music entertainment business is part of the reason I originally got into photography! It was so much fun spending the day getting all dressed up though, and then walking around the event people watching all the fancy ladies and well dressed men.
The performances blew me away, and my expectations were all exceeded. I was most excited to see FUN, and The Lumineers, but got unexpected chills when Elton John performed. Then of course I got all giddy when Justin Timberlake took the stage, like I was 14 again, and even more excited when Jay-Z popped up for a surprise performance with him! All of the greatest on stage in one show. It was truly a priceless night out in Los Angeles, and just another great reason why I love this city.
Santa Monica, CA - February 2013
While I’ve lived in Los Angeles for three years, today was only my second time riding the ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier. The rain clouds cleared after last night’s storm, and left a gorgeous crisp blue sky and sunny weather for us to enjoy. The view of the beach from the top was just priceless. #lovethiscity
Just incase you hadn’t seen it yet, check out this video we made showcasing all of our amazing friends and family using The Forge studio space to its very fullest.
There’s only a week left of our IndieGoGo fundraiser, and the future growth of this community depends on it! There’s great prizes in store for our supporters - secure discounted studio rates, or collect some fine art! Either way, check it out, and if the least you can do is spread the word, then that itself is appreciated.
I moved to Los Angeles 3 years ago, and The Forge was one of the first places I felt at “home.” Whether it’s a huge Halloween event, a gathering to view a slideshow of pictures, or just a small BBQ with friends, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of this community.
And now they need your help! With just under a week left, there’s still time to donate and claim some sweet prizes in return. My 365 Book of self portraits is included in one of the packages, so if you’re interested in that - now’s your chance, for cheap!
P.S. Can you spot me in this video? :)
