Oh, you know, just steering a 70 foot sailboat that’s currently on it’s 7th leg of a race around the world. The Mar Mostro is the Puma boat participating in the Volvo Ocean Race - and made a stop in Miami last weekend. While it was an extremely calm day on the ocean, with very little wind to get the boats up to top speeds, it was such a treat to be able to ride along for the Pro-Am race. I’m so thankful for Puma for giving me the opportunity.

Lauren / Cherry Blossoms, 2012
Last week, I photographed Lauren Randolph who is not only a great photographer, but a great model also. We spent the day shooting at The Huntington Library and it was a pretty great location. Also, special thanks to Michelle Alexis Newman for giving me a hand on the shoot.

Today I got some film back from Burning Man. This is Lauren driving us out to Black Rock City. This is two days after one of the craziest days in my entire life. This picture isn’t just a snapshot of a beautiful girl smiling. It’s a picture of a moment when the only other person in the world who knew how I felt was driving me through the desert to a place where anything is possible and the real world goes away. This is a picture of a feeling and I’m happy to share it with you.

This is another image I made during my stay in Bristol, TN/VA last month. I couldn’t believe the scenery out there, so incredibly different than what I grew up looking at in Nevada. It was gorgeous. Huge thanks to Adam Robinson for all his help during this shoot.
